How To Use C-Thru to Remove Water Stains

C-thru is an easy-to-use system for removing water spots and stains from glass and other hard surfaces.

PREPARATION

Put a teaspoon of C-thru Water Spot Remover paste on the special application pad (provided with the paste) and work the paste down into the pad by rubbing in a circular motion with one or two fingers. Continue adding paste, working one teaspoon at a time into the pad, until the paste is about to come through the botttom of the pad.

Your prepared application pad should look like this

APPLICATION

Step 1: Make sure the surface to be cleaned is dry. Place pad on the surface with two or three fingers behind the pad.

Step 2: Using a back and forth motion, firmly rub an area about 10 cm long. Listen for the "Squeaking Clean" sound

Step 3: Rinse surface with fresh water (where possible). Squeegee or wipe off and polish with clean dry cloth.

The amount of pressure and the number of strokes required varies, depending on the level of spotting. Generally, the more pressure you apply, the quicker you get results. Badly stained surfaces may require more than one application.

MACHINE APPLICATION OPTION

C-thru Water Spot Remover can be applied by attaching the application pads to a random orbital sander or other slow to moderate speed buffer / polisher device. Trim the application pad(s) to fit the device and prepare the pad as per the instructions. Always use an isolating tranformer or other safety switch when cleaning showers, boats or when working in other wet areas. Always turn off the water supply when using in a shower or other wet environment. Be sure to put the sander / buffer / polisher device against the surface to be cleaned before turning it on (to avoid product splatter) and turn off before removing from the surface. NOTE: Extra large application pads can also be purchased which can be used for this purpose.

BE AWARE

C-thru has found instances where glass surfaces have been damaged beyond repair by other cleaning products, chemical and/or cleaning methods not designed for glass. In these cases the glass will continue to appear to be stained even after using C-thru Water Spot Remover. Not all glass is created equal. Some glass is more susceptible to difficult water spots and requires considerably more effort to clean.
